What's the temperature where you are???

At one point I was driving 50 miles each way for work. On one particular morning, the roads were pretty slick, and 2 drivers were in front of me.

When I got in the left lane to pass, I realized I was on pure ice. It was like the car was on a spindle. I VERY slowly backed off an merged in behind the other vehicles.

Needless to say, it was a very slow drive to work. Especially since my car was rear wheel drive.

I gave my furnace a break. I have enough windows on the front to get passive solar gain. Propane was expensive this year. 😧
All my water containers for my chickens are freezing over. 55 degrees at chest height in the coop with 2 heaters. I had to get the last Dominique out of the extension coop. I'm not losing another bird

Have lived within 10kms or less of a beach my entire life - and never learnt to surf or skindive. Hubby was a skindiver when he was younger and son has a dive licence. But daughter and I are not water babies. It's a lovely 24C (75F) here at 9.14AM The bushfire that has been threatening the Nursing home and Primary school to the north of me - is now under control and they are looking for the nut job that started it. Only one house lost and only known casualty was the pet cat of the guy who came home to find his house gone.

I might have tried it when I was younger... now the board probably would knock me for a loop and end up not knowing up from down. Likely ending badly! 😳
I'm tall with a high center of gravity. That has not served me well in any athletic endeavor. It would definitely take time for me to learn not to fall off a surfboard.

Someone once told me a high center of gravity is an advantage in some things, like the high jump and fencing, but I've never tried either of those.

It certainly makes it easier to fall off a horse and I've done that several times... šŸ˜ šŸ¤¦ā€ā™€ļø

It's 57° and clear at 7:30 P.M.

43F and dropping at 10 pm, with snow expected in a few hours. By morning, it should be reduced to the nasty, icy, freezing rain we've had for the past "forever." I dearly miss the snows we had when I was younger. Global warming and urban sprawl has ruined winter for me. I'm already wishing for Spring.
March 20 is only 99 days away, but who's counting? ME!

50° and clear with 61% humidity at 12:30 A.M.

Here is a neighborhood javelina complaining about something.
