Half of the first back crosses have vaulted skulls, as expected, since the vaulted skull gene is recessive. Here is my first back cross that was worth keeping.

Hi, I just stumbled on this thread. Did you ever follow through with your project? I'm very curious as I started one with Polish and Ameraucanas last year.
Here is the link to my facebook page if you are interested.

I hope this is okay to post here, but I am super excited to share some news about my Blue Egg Polish project. Now the hard part.... waiting to see if it got the blue egg gene from it's F1 daddy...
How does this work?? I make an offer, then people bid by counter offering with the eggs they have? Then if I accept, the other person sends their eggs to me and I send my eggs to them? No $ involved?
Hatched May 3rd (I was thinking 7 weeks, but actually 6 weeks).
white crested blue Polish.
Someone said it has the crest of a pullet but I think those are saddle feathers on it's back? Thanks.
The cockerel is from a Gold Laced Polish rooster and a silver Ameraucana hen.
The black pullet is from the same rooster and a Black Ameraucana hen.
The two white pullets are from a Buff Polish rooster and a Black Ameraucana hen.

What do you think about the color on this chick. It's parents are both White Crested Black Polish. I got her as a hatching egg. She is about 6 or 7 weeks old.
The buck I have now is only producing black kids and light red buckskin kids. I want to add diversity to my herd. Do you think that adding this buckling would help add diversity when he is old enough to breed? Or would he produce more of the same with the does that I have? Thanks.
My does are...
I bought a beautiful sweet little junior doe in the first week of February. After I bought her and on the way home the lady told me, "Oh by the way she might be bred." After getting my new girl, Bella, settled in I looked at the sale pictures and saw what I thought might be a very large buck in...
