Hi Folks,
I am currently using Mile Four layer feed for my 3 girls (supposed to be soy & corn free https://milefour.com/products/chicken-layer-feed) . I have noticed they are taking less care with their product over the last year. I have been finding more and more corn in the feed. The final...
I am going to build tunnels. I was going to frame them with 1x2s and cover in hardware cloth (similar to this picture). I will get a pic of the run shortly.
My chicken run is wood frame covered in hardware cloth, I will be constructing chicken tunnels of the same materials. I am stumped on how to securely attach the tunnel to the run. Any ideas?
I have a broody Brahma hen. I have her hatching some Salmon faverolles eggs (I know this breed is prone to bullying). I was wondering if anyone has noticed after a hen raises chicks, if she is kinder to those chicks as adults and less likely to bully them?
I may have a bully in my flock (not sure if it is just a reaction to the broody hen getting special treatment) and will have some eggs hatching soon. I may have to split my current coop in half and add a separate run. Did you notice any stress with the chickens able to see each other but not...

I will be getting a couple of fertilized eggs for my broody hen to hatch. Picking them up, they won't be shipped. I was wondering if I need to do anything special before putting the eggs under her? The info I found online refers to shipped eggs and letting them sit for about 12...

Does anyone know of a Serama breeder in New Mexico? I would love to get a couple. I found breeders online and these little guys ranged from $35-$125 each.
I want to get a flock of Buff and Lavander Orppingtons next Spring. I know they are big birds and I live in New Mexico. Do they do well in the heat? Do they like water? I thought of putting an outdoor mister during the hotter months.
