I had the same thing happen when I started raising Araucana... Because they don't have a tail bone, and lots of butt fluff, breeding is a challenge for these birds. It helps a whole lot of you trim the fluff immediately around the vent and any cushion/saddle feathers that may block the vent area.

Exactly! - I have some silver wheaten hens and a cinnamon (not sure the correct name, dark wheaten?) wheaten pullet - and they don't resemble this girl at all. My wheaten cockbird has bright crisp color compared to the more subdued color of e+ BBR cock.... For comparison, the trio that was...
