Help! I have an egg that piped last night at around eight since the initial pip it hasn't made any progress. It's still peeping and moving but I'm just worried since it has been over twelve hours. Any advice?

My broody hen had six chicks, she crushed one and is pecking the others but only in the nesting box. When you take her out she is fine and she takes care of them. I separated her from the flock and the nesting box and so far she is taking care of them. What do I do? This has never happened to me...

I was told that my Duck Gertrude, is a Cayuga (that's what the lady I bought it from said). However I don't think that's the case. I'm thinking maybe a Khaki Campbell? But I'm new to ducks, so what do you guys think?

I dont think this is the case becaise we have an enclosed coop for at night. (It has a roof, sides, the only opebibgs are the door for me to collect eggs, and the door where they go into the run) we found her body in the coop. From further inspection it looks like she was killed in the run but...

I have put a camera up but not inside the coop I put it in the woods next to my coop. I have seen a coyote and several raccoons. I am guessing its a racoon that killed the most recent bird. Would a racoon take its head?

Update I saw a single coyote, and raccoons. (I also saw many deer although that isn't relevant) another bird was killed while I was on vacation.
