Broody hen won't take to chicks

Broody hen was sitting for what I thought was 3 weeks I did t really keep track. I put day olds under her but left the other eggs thinking she would realize they were duds. Well she didn't realize that so I removed the eggs and left the baby chicks. Next day two chicks were squashed under her...

Does this make her a him?¿

    Pinky nail size black bug

I have put DE on these bugs and nothing has happened. What are they? If I move a nesting box some chickens will come and eat them. They seem to like to be in the dark.

    Now what? Treated with antibiotics

What if other birds are not showing symptoms. Would that be bacterial infection? How long does a hen live if it has pneumonia? Wouldn't other hens have it after a week or so? One of my birds has a gurgling sound when I stroke her neck. She sneezes, don't think it's a caugh. IT is too late and...

    Is this a sneeze?

I noticed a snot bubble and then what I think are sneezes. The mucous does not have a smell to it, that I can tell. I put vet Rx on her face and rubbed my fingers under her wing. She is pooping and eating and drinking. Any signs I should look out for?

    Pellets or crushed layer feed

If my girls are hungry enough will they eat the pellets? They came from crushed feed. They roam our urban backyard and I feed about 3 cups morning and night for 5 hens. They don't come running for food, just scraps.

    Old English game hens

I'm not sure which ones are laying but I think 2 are. The game hens are super scared of me. I've given treats etc. Everytime I'm in the coop the...

I noticed she was limping. Looked under foot for a thorn or something and it looked clean and she didn't jump when I applied pressure. I then checked her vent for a stuck egg and nothing. I slathered olive oil all over her. She is still laying, but still limps. After I checked her vent she...
