It seems that I am having a new phenomenon whereby my typing is beset with "overwriting" when I try to type out a response to a thread and then try to edit it.
In other words, I try to fix some of my words and edit what I am writing but I overwrite what I wrote and cannot "insert" new words in...

This is a CBS slideshow of 10 pics, where you can see the great love this falconer has for his bird, and the bird's love back to him. Amazing pics.

This morning I was looking outside the window at a hummingbird sitting on her feeder, drinking. We have at least 5 different hummingbirds that drink at this feeder, so it is a busy one.
She flapped her wings and tried to fly away. But the freezing fog had made the little ring around the feeder...

This is very interesting! I have never seen anyone post this on BYC before. I found it when doing a search.
Next to Ranchhand's name is "Rest in peace, 1956-2011."

There is apparently a website for mailing in poo to check for worms! Has anyone used this website or another similar to it?
It sounds like a wonderful idea for saving money on...
I have seen a few posts on internet and BYC regarding roundworms actually inside chicken eggs. Even pictures of this happening, but it is a rare occurrence according to what I have read.
So I started thinking that since a roundworm can lay 240,000 eggs a day, maybe there are roundworm eggs in...
Today I witnessed what I believe to be a large hawk migration over my home. There were more than 200 birds! It lasted for half an hour or more. They were floating on the wind flying from west to east.
I watched the chickens too- they were wary and went inside the coop for the most part, with...
My chickens just received the second dose of worming medication today for an infestation of roundworms, visible in the poo as dead worms.
Now I moved all the chickens to another run so that the first run can be washed clean by our rains. I want to put them back in after all the worm larvae...

We discovered that by turning off our hot water heater that we saved at least $40 for the month. (We don't have it off now.)
Step 1: Turn off water heater at breaker switch (see note below).
Step 2: Heat...
