Good morning!
I wanted to share something funny I discovered recently as I was tending to our new goslings.
We got 6 new goslings a few weeks ago, from TS. I'm 90% sure they are White Chinese and I am absolutely obsessed with them already.
So, my goal is to have a close bond with them and...
I was able to tell within the first couple of weeks that mine was a frizzle. It started showing it's cute lil frizzle feathers as soon as it lost it's soft down.
Ok I will keep an eye out and I do have blue kote and may try to use it. I am like you though and do not like it due to the messiness. Thank you for your help!
Hello,
Anyone know what's up with this little one? It is 8 weeks old and has had this for a while. I thought at first that it was just going through an ugly stage while it gets it's feathers.
I've been watching and no one is picking on it. It acts happy, healthy and it's getting plenty to...
Did you ever try this??? I was just wondering if this would work and knew if I came here I would find someone else trying the same thing. I have frizzles and my phoenix's.
Lol no worries I was only kidding. I agree that it is cruel in most cases. Especially for something meant to be roaming free in the wild. Although I'm not gonna lie... If I had quite a bit more than my 6 acres of land and the ability to put some kind wallaby proof barrier (if that's even...
They're so cute!!! And your post made me giggle! I'm already ready for my cute little ducklings to move to the coop lol. I don't know if I can handle several weeks of this mess. 🤣 They make up for it in cuteness and they are finally starting to like me instead of run and "scream" when I reach my...
I'm going to use the part about wallabys endangered to convince my husband we need one, preferably 2, male and female. Bc he knows saving animals is what I do! Thanks for inadvertently helping me 😂
Those kangaroos sound awesome in your previous post! (Minus drowning dogs in puddles, but hey...
Do any of you do fermented feed for your ducks? I'm interested in doing it for the chickens and would love to do in it for the ducks if it is just as beneficial for them.
Woohoooo!! :yesss: I had a feed experience as well yesterday.... We have a popular chain called tractor supply and then a small feed store. I had been buying small bags for the same price that this place offers a 50# bag for. I don't go there often bc they only take cash. I lose/spend cash too...
I banded them with band aids at first and then decided to use that vet wrap/bandage wrap (the stuff that is usually brown or nude color and sticks to itself). You just wrap it around one leg and then wrap it around the other leg which forces them together, adjusting the length in between. I...
Lol they threw in 2 for me too. They say just in case one some of them don't make it. Which I'm glad bc unfortunately I'm down to exactly 15 outta 17. Hopefully your little ducklings perk up soon! I was excited and stressed when I first got mine as well. One of them died 30 mins after I got...
Oh ok lol! I know what you are talking about. I first heard about it with cornish chickens. Then I got these ducks and was reading up on them and noticed they said it happens to pekins too. Poor babies.
