On the OEGBs. It's only two of them now the third got through the issues on its own. The other two tho aren't showing much improvement. Only their vigor is up. Neither can stand on their own yet.
Vitamin deficiency at hatch. So not enough nutrients in the yoke when it's absorbed.
I can see why OEGB and Sebrights have issues making it after hatch now. Both when I have hatched them have had this issue.
Its more vigorous but still can't keep its head up. I have a second one now as well and possibly a third sigh. Thought I accidentally singed the second ones death warrant when giving it the nutri-drench. It was acting like it had inhaled some, but it seams to be ok now. I'll keep up treatment as...
I'm doing nutri-drench, a stabilizing chair(made from an egg carton, paper towel and vet wrap) and yoke-water mixture. My last ones I had like this where from my Halloween hatch. Two of the Sebrights had issues like this.
⬆️So it is being held upright in my hand here. I have two doing this.
⬆️ Same here.
⬆️ The makeshift stability chair made from an egg carton this time. Not as good as the solo cup one I made for the two in the Halloween hatch. But it should work.
I'm doing nutri-drench for both and will give...
I'm having to baby two of the OEGB hatch outs because they are stargazing. :hmm
Off to TSC to get vet wrap to make a stability chair. I have nutradrench and I've given the first one 2 drops and a few hrs later 2 more drops. Not even a cc. It's doing better but I think I'm going to do some...
I will be separating mine to their own pen once it's up. Currently they are in a mixed bantam pen that I also use for grow outs. They get to mingle with large fowl tho about every other day for free range. No one bothers them. The polish get bothered more. My breeds are Ameraucana, Spitzhauben...
Sorry fir the loss. I know that heat! I'm working on getting babies out this weekend from the garage. Because of this...
Look at that feels like for us.
Very small pip in one egg this evening. So I must have set pretty late on Saturday. All twelve where moving and maybe air cell piped.
Heat is ramping up so I have to get one of the half done pens completely done this weekend so I can start getting more babies out of the garage. I think with...
Lol, I'll raise you on broodies!
The one in the middle is a Halloween hatch so not even a year old.
This is Zilla and she's not that great of a mom. She left her two chicks to back and sit on eggs again.
These three girls are the best moms. They share chick duties and shared nest brooding...
