Currently only cape coral had an exemption for 4-h/ffa.
Quail are tricky, the ordinance states "or others kept for meat or eggs" (overview). However, quail are a gamebird.
You can apparently have pigeons. And you can have 4 Vietnamese pot-bellied pigs. Which is crazy.
Please be careful. Make sure the girls are well hidden.
Lehigh is also a unwanted "drop-off" area for unwanted chickens and any other animals. Coyotes usually take of them unfortunately. There's been a few small flocks around here, and within a few days they were gone.
I absolutely understand...
I don't believe AG-2 has limitations. You'll need to meet setback requirements.

I understand completely. Yes I want to change the attitude of the board members and therefore the laws. But I am not so heartless as to not understand that everyone is also effected by those as well.

Trust me when I tell you. We are not allow chickens. Unless you live in Agricultural land. Fort myers allows 4 hens and so does Bonita springs. The rest of lee county including unincorporated Lee County is an absolute no. Unless you have a child in 4-h
I am sorry your neighbor is a jerk. Sounds like the roosters have a problem or they are bored.
He should be willing to speak with you to form a compromise of some sort.
Just because Lehigh is less like cape coral, doesn't give the right to say welcome to the county. Could you approach his wife...
Howdy neighbor! I recently heard there was some talk about chickens in collier county at a recent meeting. Unfortunately I can't find anything on it.....
