Drying, I hope. I found a squishy spot last night, so I have two fans blowing directly on the seams that were oozing water when I stepped on them. We seem to have the sump pump issue solved. DH has it suspended about 1/2” above the bottom of the hole so it doesn’t plug up again.
Glad to see you...
This is what Ruger was up to yesterday:
We had the grandkids and their dog out to the farm yesterday.
Son came to get his kids and dog, and we realized that our dog was nowhere to be seen. Son checked shop and machine shed on his way out, but no dog. DH checked the ditches, even though our dog...
Good Afternoon, Pond!
On our way home from the “big town” where we went to the building supply store to get the most powerful floor drying fan they had. Three days in a row, I’ve had water in my finished basement. (We just put in new vinyl plank flooring in March.) Fortunately, in one of the...
I can see the fancy GF cake for the bride and groom. I like the idea of cupcakes or mini cupcakes and maybe one other type of dessert. Or two? I’m a sugar fiend, so I would definitely take more than one if I had options. A cupcake for sure. The rest sounds delicious as well!
:frow We are well, just crazy busy. I thought this spring would be less busy since DH isn’t farming, but that time has just been absorbed by other things.

Trying to caffeinate enough to enjoy my last Tuesday of the school year. For some reason I can’t explain, I decided to stay up until midnight last night. I just wasn’t sleepy. When I got home yesterday, we went right out to the garden to get plants in the ground before the rain...
Good Evening, Pond! Just paddling on through as I wait for the rhubarb crisp to come out of the oven. Life is crazy busy right now, even without the stress of trying to get a crop planted. We’ve gotten about 6” of rain over the past 1 1/2 weeks, and there is water standing everywhere!
I hope...
Good Evening, Pond!
Just came in after spending most of the afternoon outside, indulging in some dirt therapy. Warm temperatures, sunshine, and digging in the dirt are good for the soul!
WHAT??? But… don’t they need our permission first? I mean, I have some time yet - the oldest is 8, so it won’t happen right away. Maybe there’s time to convince them that they need to ask before they go live their own lives.
Hello, Pond!
Had the local grandkids over for a sleepover last night. 4 1/2 year old GD crawled in with me around 1:30. I saw 4:30 come and go before I fell back asleep. Trying to sleep next to that child is like sleeping next to a heater disguised as an octopus that requires a minimum of four...
