Common confusion as there are birds sold as "sapphires" that do lay blue, so sapphire gem is easy to mix up with that

My only loss this year was one ood my two saphires, of course that was the ones I was most excited about getting...go figure. Lost her at about a week old for no apparent reason. Anyway, this is the other one taken yesterday, so 2 1/2 weeks old. Really liking this girl!

My two saphire gems arrived (along with the rest of my order) safe and sound yesterday morning -- the little saphires are SO pretty! I can't wait to see them as they mature...... (the mark on the head on this one is the mark made at the hatchery to ID the various breeds in the order)

I just ordered some yesterday.... they ship on the 14th :jumpy
