Two of my newest Satins! Any guesses what they’ll look like? Mom is a Blue Cream Silkie and Dad is a Lav Cuckoo Satin (his mom was gold laced, and Dad Confetti). 😆 They’re so pretty but guessing it’ll be a smorgasbord of genes! 😆

Haha, that is what my fear is...I already have an affinity for the boys...I really wanted a breed where I could love the girls more, but alas my heart always chooses the boys. Oh well, if it's a boy, I will at least get some cute babies! :D

Well, I came to a poultry show today and a woman had two sales cages full of silkies/satins so I had to get some 🤦🏼‍♀️🤪 I have wanted blue creams since I saw the color…and now I have two of them! 😍🥰😆 One is 5 months old and the other is about 7 weeks old. So pretty 😍

Yeah, I always feel like a worried mother when they leave the brooder and go outside with the flock! I'm glad I'm not the only one! Plus it is a lot more work to get one to snuggle with while I watch TV when they are all grown up and outside :lol:

Update on the baby I thought was a Silkie, then decided it was a bantam Brahma…HE is a Satin/Brahma and a very calm and gentle boy 😍😍

Just cuz there was interest—baby Brahma is now almost 2 weeks old and cute 🥰 Duchess is just such a good momma! Also had to share my Satin boy Duke, now that he’s all filled out. His dad is a confetti Silkie and his mom is a gold laced satin 😆 And my frizzle Satin hen Brillo (same parents!)

Those of you that breed silkies/satins…what’s the chick down look like for color potential on this baby? **Editing to say never mind! Once I took a solid look at the chick I realized it’s a Brahma bantam 🤪😆 The other egg that hatched was a Silkie cross so I just assumed!**
