I have ceramic pet bowls for the chooks as well as the terracotta saucers for the dogs. They are easy to re-fill but also fill with leaves easily. That's not a problem your lovely water jars have. ❤️

My chickens are much better behaved when waiting in line than some humans.
My girls have open bowls and, with all the rain we've been having, they have stayed pretty full. When they look a bit mucky I will scrub, empty, rinse and refill them using the garden hose (usually every couple of days but often longer).

We have had break from the rain for a few days, but this afternoon the heavens opened again.
When I went out to check the chooks after the downpour I couldn't see them.
Eventually they saw me and came to see if I had treats. They kept under cover of the eaves the whole way though.
That's a nice looking feeder. Those inserts are a brilliant idea and must make it easier to clean and refill.
