went to check on said jewelry orders - one said it wasn't shipped? So I contacted the seller - they shipped it on time but USPS isn't recognizing the package in their system. So they're sending me another one, but who knows if it will get here in time.
I really hope getting USPS back in order...
I know the feeling. I always like make chocolates and cakes and brownies and caramels and cards and buy flowers and everything for my partners and they're just like "what's a valentines?". Especially when it comes to at-home activities. Going out on dates is better.
We'll see what happens this...
Good morning thread.
There's several "legacy" style games which are more choose your own adventure long term stories (they're a newer phenomenon).
There's literally hundreds of great modern games so you never have to play monopoly again if you love your family though. XD For families of 6, I'd...
My hottest tip is find a day each week that can work for everyone. Everyone has to want to make it priority enough to block out the time. For example, ours is saturday nights. We start loosely at 5PM every week (unless there is a serious other activity) and go until bedtime (10ish) with a break...
My partner co-owns a board game/card game store. >_>; He's mostly divested himself from it all but financially and works from home for a medical company now... But for five years it was his full time employment and I was there with him a LOT. Introducing people to modern board games is a well...
You're welcome! People tell me I'm good at giving gifts. :) Happy to share!
(PS. If you're unfamiliar, be aware, games like Pandemic Legacy can be a little intimidating if you're not used to them. Rest assured that it's not much harder than, say, monopoly. You just have to muddle through one...
Some fancy soaps I've gotten/made/seen over the years other than just nice ingredients;
The gemstone soaps (obs) of varying quality
Puzzle pieces that fit together
Eggs with toy dinosaurs inside
Soap with money in the middle
Soap made and cut to look like famous paintings
Clear soap with glow...
Soap. Fancy soaps are an ideal pandemic gift IMO. Helps people clean their hands and you can get some cool ones if you know where to look.
Decent webcams and headphones with a mic have been extra hot this year. Everyone I know either got a new set this year or needs one.
Board games. There's...
Welcome @littledog. You sound like a loving grandmother. That's great!
Your husband sounds a lot like "yer dad". Which is to say not YOUR dad, but like, the concept of the stereotypical "dad". Kinda conservative, older white guy who doesn't mind different things as long as they're not public or...
Right!? Like what am I feeding you for??? You're twice the size of this hawk, too!
Oh well.
I'll go out and check on the flock again before going to the feed store and see if I missed any injuries.
Yes I haven't found anything but a lot of feathers. No blood, no dead birds. A few birds outside the coop were hiding in places I couldn't get to and wouldn't come out - can't blame them, but they seemed OK. No blood or obvious injuries.
Rooster was one of the birds hiding. :T Coward.
Rooster went and hid today. >_> What a lazy man. This is the same rooster that tried to fight a coon last year, so I'm a little surprised.
This is the last time a hawk got stuck in our chicken equipment. Years ago, but it's not new. it was also february then. This hawk is VERY muddy after...
Hawk was released outside the lawn and flew away.
Looks like a juvvie redtail. Not the first time a hawk got itself stuck somewhere dumb in our lawn because chickens.
Partner woke up at 9:30am, let out the birds. At 10:30 there's screaming outside and we find this idiot in our coop and feathers everywhere. It walked in the pop door and couldn't get out. Chickens seem scared and roughed up but fine.
