It's a pretty little plaza that runs in the community. Doubt they would treat their ducks poorly. Plus, they've been raising ducks for as long as I can remember, and it's a pretty rich neighborhood.

You know what, I'm not really sure. I know people can buy food to feed them, but not sure if they get anything else. I mean...they aren't raised with the utmost care, but they aren't abused either.

You sure know your ducks!! Thank you, I was wondering if anyone knew what they were. But no, they weren't dumped, they belong to a park.

Didn't get a chance to do very much photography, but was able to test out the camera a little. Sometimes it feels too professional to be in my hands..haha. Definitely still a delightful camera to use though!☺️Oh and I know that these pictures are of ducks and a Canada goose, but that's all I...

Thank you. Like I said, I can’t read lenses well. I’m hoping that somewhat changes, since I really do admire those kind of skills/knowledge. I do like how Sony cameras and lenses follow a naming scheme though. Makes it easier when choosing gear. And yes, I’m extremely grateful to my mom 💙

Ha, yeah lol. It's a mighty beast of a camera! Not that I speak from past experience or anything...I've only just  heard about them up till this point. Can't wait to try it!!!

I didn't choose the lense, but my mom got me this one.To be honest, I don't know much about lenses. In fact, all I know about this lense is what's on the lense itself. It's pretty much just the standard "kit lense" often sold with Sony full-frame cameras. I used to use a telephoto lense, so this...

Haha, yeah..it's been quite a while since I've been on this thread. Think the last time I was on here I was talking about switching cameras. I decided not to go with the Canon route this time...gonna finally make the switch to Sony. Will update once that thought actually leads to something tangible.

Moneys not a huge issue but I’d find it hard in myself to pay upwards $6000 for a camera. Seems that that’s the “average” price you’ll see for a Sony A1. Definitely leaning toward the Canon R5 for now. Appreciate your knowledge and advice.

I understand that, but I don’t see how it’s a good idea to keep letting them reproduce with no boundaries. Spotted another rattlesnake by the barn just this morning. Doesn’t seem like they’re threatened in any way. Plus, there are tons of small rodents for them to eat out in the fields, so we...

That’s for sure. I used a telescoping lense and have no other reason to believe that it would get to me. Rattlesnakes can lunge roughly two thirds of their body length and I was more than a safe distance away. But yes, my parents were worried. And even more worried that it was gonna escape. We...

Close enough to get my parents yelling, but not close enough to get killed. :p Not sure if you can tell from the photo, but that’s a baby rattlesnake. My dad killed it right after I took the shot so that’s his funeral pic.
