The Needles are great, too! Most times I've been there have been during Rally Week, so the roads were always packed with bikes. Cruising to the Needles was a favorite destination, and extremely curvy, lots of pull-outs, etc. Had to take it pretty slow. Favorite photo location: The rock formation...
There's a trick I use whenever I have trouble sleeping, or when I'm in the dentist's chair (terrifying to me) - and that is to imagine doing a project, step-by-step, in every single detail. I picture myself moving the furniture, sweeping the edges, going to the basement to gather painting...
and neither will my dogs. I have one of them, a beagle, out of his kennel and laying at my feet, for fear of the thunder and lightning. Such a 'fraidy-cat! He once freaked out so much he got his upper and lower jaws stuck in the wire of his kennel. Nearly had to break his teeth to get him freed...
Guess I'll join you folks tonight (this morning?). Felt a bit icky yesterday all day, and finally at 5pm told my husband I'm going to lay down for a nap for about an hour. Even set my alarm so I'd get up to fix dinner and check on the chickens. Welp, that didn't work. I finally woke at midnight...
