I am starting to agree. Unfortunately before this I had purchased 5 chicks. But the first original 4 I had purchased from them only 2 are still alive and you're right, the first couple years they're alright. 😞
Not yet really, I felt it and it felt squishy but not hard but up in her neck feels hard. Not sure if that's a bone or what? I'm unfamiliar and new to all of this sorry. I feel like I'm coming off as a dumb a**...lol If it is a crop issue would the tablet work or make or worse?
I just got the calcium citrate tablets. Do I give her a whole one? Or break it up ?
No I have never dewormed them and they eat layer pellets and some chicken scratch some through the day I throw to them. Maybe 2 handfuls
Not that I can smell? Is it possible she has Coccidiosi but can't see worms in her poop? She pooped a few minutes ago and it was mostly clearish watery. I'm looking at a corid treatment now for everyone including her. Would that help her or make things worse do you think?
I checked her crop this morning, it feels like a squishy ball at the bottom where it should be in that diagram but higher up like mid neck it feels hard. I'm not sure if that's a bone or not I can't get her to really stretch it out either.

Yes, I have her in a cat carrier in my laundry room tonight. It might sound like a dumb question but how would I tell if her crop is empty in the morning..? Or full?
Thank you for your reply! I will go to the store in a few minutes. I'm just wondering if that isn't what's wrong with her, if it would hurt her more by giving it to her? Obviously doing something is better than nothing though. Her comb has also been a little purple on the ends. Here is a pic of...
I live in South Carolina and got them from tractor supply when they were a few days old. They are now almost 3 years, they were labeled as easter eggers but that's a guess. I have 6 hens and a rooster. No compost pile, yes they free range and her poop was a little runny but wasnt much of it...
Hello, I have a sick chicken who is basically just standing still in my yard most of the day puffed up. Her comb and face have turned really pale and she isn't eating or drinking much but will if you put it in front of her for a little.ive checked her for mites/lice I don't see anything and I...
