Oh, yeah. They are amazing and beautiful birds that are most certainly worth a lot of money. It’s a shame he doesn’t know much about them. They are amazing birds to read about.
$60! I got mine for $5 an egg from a close friend.
There is a hatchery a few hours away (pickup only - no shipping) and their AC chicks go for $69-$99. It’s crazy how expensive they are!
I think that the two AC chicks are pullets, but I’m not positive. I hope they are. (Edit: I’d rather one be a cockerel and one be a pullet. I’d much rather have two pullets than two cockerels though)

I lost two of the chicks today though. A Yellow Rat snake ate them. Phoenix (one of the barnyard EE’s) and one of the AC’s. I’m super bummed out.

All five chicks are growing very well under their loving momma. She absolutely adores them.
I have found that I can find the gender of my birds fairly well by their tail feathers when they are young.
