Here's an excellent read that tells the true meaning, if you didn't know.

I'm a little unconventional. All my coops are in my pole barn so I don't have to build fort Knox style coops but I'm starting 2 more coops to get Marans and the ducks out.
Anyways... I have 4 coops at the moment 1 Marans, 1 brooder coop attached to Marans for integration on one side. 1 mixed...
Sometimes they will work it out and coexist, sometimes it won't and you have to decide to separate or cull one of them.
I had to separate my 2 because it was their second fight. First time was bloody, second time Kong broke a spur off and it never grew back. I already had the mixed flock before...

Awwww... Thanks ♥️ and I saw your mention in the other thread, also. When chicken math bites again...(it will) We could see about sending you some eggs. 🙂
Separate coops, separate runs and I alternate free range time. 1/2 day for each flock or sometimes I do every other day for each. One tip I have for multi flocks is I utilize a secondary fence roughly a foot away from the run to prevent contact. Or I put up a solid screen 2' up the side of the...
All are Black Copper Marans... King and Kong are 4 yrs old, raised from day olds and the little one has no name yet, 5 weeks old this coming Sunday. I've got 2 flocks, King heads up the mixed flock of 9 girls for Olive Eggers and Marans hybrids hatching eggs and Kong rules his flock of all Black...
