I'm glad it all worked out ☺️ it can be hard to find good rooster homes. The chicken market is just flooded here right now so I'm not even selling pullets.
It's SO hard, I do want to keep them all 🥺 except for the two that have gotten mean to the others, my two oldest Chonkers boys are wearing out their welcome, I have them separated from the other chicks not because they are pulling feathers and now starting to want to mount the other chicks, and...
Thanks, it's going to be SO hard to choose who joins the layer flocks and breeding pens and who's going 😢 I have a little blue cockerel that is a brother to the black one I posted, he's just super adorable too.
It probably is those broody silkie genes 🤣 you can find them between the "piles of cute fluff" genes, and the "will bite you for treats" gene.
I need help getting my chicken math under control, maybe I could sneak a few in your coop?
I have some wee ones that don't take up much space.
Love it, yes, you need a roo named Willie, and we have just the Serama to fit the bill.
I'm sorry you've lost your dad :hugs
Come on Willie, stop toking and get busy growing, Elfen needs you!
