I will see if I have any full profile pics of her, she does in person have a more sloping topline. She is a big girl and I can't wait to see her mature. Its been a process to get cuckoos with feathered shanks and I am sure they will continue to be a project.
I am hoping that I can get opinions and critique of this 4 month old pullet. She ha not started laying yet so I am not sure what color her eggs will be. She has adequate foot/shank feathering
I have been away from byc for sometime now, and I am just starting to get back ino my birds. I just have a few but I wanted to share my favorite blue copper hen. She is not prefect but she lays beautiful eggs! I bought her from pinkchick 3 or 4 years ago!

Shelley~ I am so sorry to hear about your broody, how disappointing, and such pretty eggs too. I wish you luck with them and hope that they do something. Good luck with the new ones that you set. BTW: don't be in a hurry to put that 'bator away too soon.....your coming up on my waiting...
I am REALLY mad at my broody hen! She just decided that she didnt want to sit on eggs anymore and got off of them a couple days ago. When I found them they were COLD! So I fired up the cheap-o incubator and stuck them in. 24 hours later I checked my cochin eggs that were in there too, and...
I wish I could get myself more organized with the birds! I have a great record keeping system for our boer goat herd, but they require alot of my time, so the chickens are left out! I had them all seperated, but then we had to move some of the goats into the chicken shelters to keep them from...
We are VERY disorganized at our house! We have NO record keeping system, and our chickens are all running loose together now, luckily I only have Marans roosters, so I know these babies are purebred! I would be interested to know what people use for record keeping as well!
I hope my chicks are fun! I think she has 8 or 9 Marans eggs and then some others that the girls kept giving her before I moved her to a rabbit hutch with a nest box. I dont have a good reliable incubator, so I am glad that I have the broody that decided to hatch some for me! She is worth her...
