Christmas has been a whirlwind so far. Today I get a bit of a rest after being in the kitchen all day yesterday! We enjoyed roast duck, cornish game hens, veggies, and pate. I also made a buch de noel for dessert. This morning I made turnovers for breakfast (My husband's favorite)

Advent is almost over! I can't believe Christmas is in 5 days. I need to hurry and finish getting presents... We did make some cookies yesterday.

I didn't do any baking today, but I did finish my sweater (finally!) Tomorrow I'm making a coffee cake.

We made cheese fondu. Sometimes we go all the way with oil for cooking as well as a dessert fondu at the end. It's a fun thing for everyone :)

I've been busy recently, so I've not been able to bake much. Today I had a chance to make cheesecake bars and some bread for our fondu dinner :)

They're so cute! A tip I learned from my decorating teacher was to add a little brown or some coco powder to any red frosting to make it really pop. It sometimes takes a little practice, but I find that it helps.

For my birthday we made some of our favorite food from our time working in Belgium. There was a Serbian restaurant near where we stayed. This is called cevapcici met kajmak, (serbian sausages and warm goats cheese) Its one of the ultimate cold weather foods in my opinion!

Wildly busy weekend, I helped with serving food at a wedding and a rehearsal dinner. Today I needed to use up some apples, so I made apple fritters and I'm using the scraps to make some cider. My house smells amazing!!
