I'm making a cream cheese strawberry pound cake tomorrow for my mom's birthday. I'll TRY to post pictures, but I'm really bad about that, especially now that I'm keeping up with BYC AND my new blog.
Oh, I can not wait to hear how it comes out! I made a hummingbird cake once, when I was about 11. I forgot to put the baking soda in.....guess I don't need to explain the results...the cream cheese frosting was yummy on it, but I'd love to make one again. They are kinda expensive though!
Yeah., I hear ya on that one. I am not a picky person, never have been, but certain flavors do not belong in certain places, and squid in cake is taking it too far!
Interesting.....I've eaten cow tongue and chicken hearts, but never squid ink...

I threw out my sourdough starter today. Hadn't touched it in over eight months. I am so bad at committing to something like that. It is a wonder I've managed to keep chickens for a year and not starve them. :th
Thank you. The death was very sudden and unexpected, but as someone told me, ''just when the caterpillar thought life was over, it turned into something much more beautiful''.
I'd be happy to! I will try to tomorrow, but we have a lot of cleaning to do, so I'll see when I get time. The burial for my uncle will be on our property, so we have a lot to do!
We have an ''Orange'' tree that some friends gave us when they moved to Colorado. It produces oranges the size of a baby's fist and they do turn orange, then fall off. They are sour enough to turn your mouth inside out. The blossoms are so sweet smelling! We are not in a very good climate for...
It is so much fun! I think we are going to one this weekend, it is soooo fun.
That sounds like something they did in Little House On The Prairie books. Have you read those?
