I've had that too, I like it. Never made it myself though.
Mine as well! But I like trying new things too.
I really didn't know it was a thing until I saw it in a few cooking shows, and realised I've been making it this whole time, for mac and cheese. Now I want to make it and experiment. But...
Has anybody added a bechamel to mashed potatoes? How did it come out?
Edit to add: I always use whole milk to make it creamy and thin it, and butter to add flavor, but never thought to try a bechamel.
I've got 6 trees tapped this year, and boiled down to about 32oz so far. Year before last we did 25 trees, and got probably 2 1/2 or 3 gallons. We gave little jars away to our family members for Christmas.
Thanks! I'll have to check it more then.
Thankfully I don't live that high up! I would probably need to get a cookbook specially for high altitudes, as I'm an adamant recipe follower, until I get the hang of it.
Thanks! I make pizza once or twice a week, if not pizza then "calzones" (quotes bc they are basically folded over pepperoni pizzas without the sauce) or bread sticks, which is just pizza dough with parm and italian type spices on top. These are the only foods that he and I can agree on without...
How long does a starter last? I had one once, and my bf had me throw it out after like 4 weeks. He's super super paranoid about bacteria. I was under the impression it would last as long as you took care of it. I feel like it would save me loads on yeast.

Draining mozz
salted mozz
waiting for ricotta
draining ricotta
pizza before oven
pizza after oven
I skipped a few steps on the mozz, I didn't want to microwave/knead it. It didn't melt well, so lesson learned I guess
Tastes darn good though
One time I made a pumpkin pie and ate a piece. It was plain and boring so I made a banana bread recipe using the pie insides instead of banana. It was delicious, and I recommend it highly.
I made an acorn squash "pumpkin" pie today. It was lumpy, but that's my own fault. It tasted just like a pumpkin pie though! Needs whipped cream, but I don't have any
Thanks or having me! I hope you all enjoy it as much as my family does!
I do! I knit, crochet, and sew, but mostly knit
Almost exact, neat!
Thanks!
Thanks!
I always thought it was similar to a crisp, but doesn't it have a different bottom crust?
I have lots of domesticated black raspberries, they are the fence around my garden. I had to get rid of them somehow, and the torte was a very delicious way!
@N F C Thanks for pointing me this way! I'll share my family's prized recipe:
