Update: the cookies aren't great. I also made my usual walnut fig version, which was outstanding. I think the pistachio overpowered the maple syrup sweetener... now it just tastes like a health cookie. Bleh. Hmmm, maybe there's a reason you see maple walnut everywhere and NOT maple pistachio! 🤪
Of course! 🤣
I know it can happen due to food build up, but I also think the little piece of cardboard on the inside gets degraded over time. That's just my guess.
Good afternoon!
Homemade pumpkin bread on a Christmas plate 🥰
Pumpkin Bread by Sally's Baking Addiction
It is BY FAR the best pumpkin bread I've ever tried, but I cannot get it bake properly! It's so moist that it takes close to 2 hours at 350, and that's with constant monitoring and foil...
I’ve also heard this, but based on the last couple microwaves I’ve had, I’m more worried about it shorting and starting a fire!
Not going to stop using it, but I’m sure to stay nearby. Very annoying, as we keep it clean as a whistle.
You're right! I have a Le Creuset non-stick fry pan, but it has a heavy metallic bottom that works perfectly with induction. If anyone's ever in the market for a non-stick pan, this one's going on 3 years and looks practically brand new, and that's with heavy use.
I hate this so much. Everything is disposable these days. How about instead of making 12 different models of dishwasher with slight variations, we make one that works for the long haul!
I remember my grandmother refused to own a microwave for a similar reason. I’m sure EMR is dangerous, but for a stove you’d probably have to wrap yourself in foil and roll around on it! 😅
It works by a magnetic field. @BigBlueHen53 is correct! The pot gets hot, but the burner will not burn you (the only heat on it is transferred from the pot itself). I can boil water in a couple minutes. And because the cooktop doesn't get hot, it wipes clean in 30 seconds! It also responds...
I don't know what the prices look like anymore, but we were able to swing an induction range about 6-7 years ago. The induction cooks like gas, and the oven is obviously electric for my cookies, etc. I'm going to be buried with this thing! 🥰
Came in here looking for Christmas cookie recipes 🎅
I've probably made about 20 different types over the years, but I'll share one of my favorites.
Vegan Thumbprints
You get to choose the nuts for the cookie base and the jam for the filling, so the combos can get really fun and interesting...
Hmmm, I've used this handle since college (20+ years ago 🤯), so it's possible? I'm normally pretty low-key on social media, but I do post my chickens and garden on IG.
