Any one mind if I interrupt this lively thread to ask a chicken question? My old RIR I'd very droopy last three days especially. Has been down for a while. Her comb is not pretty. Also haven't seen her eat or drink. I picked her up to put her away and she spit up yellowish goo. Not sure if...

Ralph and Retired Ron, thanks for the tips about heat. I'll wait until it gets colder before I really worry. If we get into the 20s is too cold for California so I'll look into something then. Ron, I read about Cayenne pepper and crushed peppers being good to help with black head. It may be...

Well, I dropped Charlie off at the turkey lady's farm. She said she would look into his breed and consider keeping him because he is tame for the kids to raise etc. But she could have been just easing my pain at turning my pet into someones dinner. I think I'll have ham for thanksgiving. We...

Thanks for letting us know Ralph is OK. It's been a busy weekend. Have been looking for a new home for Charlie. I've had one offer from a lady that will buy him and process him for dinner. I'm not sure I can do that. A new home yes, but I'm not so ****** off that I want him dead. So far no...

I do work from home, but I do actually work; I'm not outside so I will have to train him like I did with my son and my dogs. Treats and my "Mom's Cranky Voice". The kid...
