Adventures in Easter Eggers. Five are from a local breeder who have a Blue Wheaten Ameraucana as their sire (she breeds Blue Wheaten) and the other four are Americana(Easter Eggers from TSC/Hoover's)

Hey guys and gals! Praise The Lord, we got a shipment of 9 baby chicks (pullets) with one not making it. They are supposed to be colored egg layers, Lord’s Willing!! There was a whole string of potential birds that it could be, but it was just a random assortment, with no guarantee of what breed...

Just received confirmation that our first batch of chicks arrives on Thursday. Very excited. We've always had 'point of lay' before so I'm new to rearing chicks. What would be your top tips for the day they arrive? The brooder is set up and ready to go! Very EXCITED.
