This is my first time owning chickens and we got a used coop, its in pretty good condition as far as im aware but maybe you guys might have some suggestions for specific things to check.

My main question is if I should disinfect/treat it somehow? I heard of people using elector psp or virkon s but I heard that shouldnt be used on osb which is what the walls are made of.

The floor wasnt badly soiled but it was also made out of osb and I decided it would just be better to replace it with plywood.

Please let me know your suggestions, I'm always looking to learn more!

How long since other birds were in there?
I'd just scrape out all the poop an go for it.
Good move on replacing the floor.
The lady we got it from was moving and her chickens had been killed by a fox that got in however she didnt specify how long ago that happend. We've had it for almost a month now but I dont know how long untill its considered "safe"?
We made sure to remove all the poop, thanks for your response!

Aa usual, Aart gives good advice. At most I'd lightly mist it with a weak bleach/water solution or one of those disinfectants you mentioned. Lightly mist, do not soak it. You do not want to get it wet. It probably doesn't need any disinfecting.
