Update. 1 day early, turns 3 weeks tomorrow.
This black chick is gonna grow up hating the world. Had a traumatic experience yesterday. It wiggled out of my hands, & jumped off the porch balcony, then got chased by a cat.
This morning during pictures, it decided to freak out, then got snatched by a cat. So, this one's not having the best luck.

Okay, hit a little hurdle within this project. My Red JungleFowl/Sumatra cross hen disappeared.
She went into the coop with the others after free range yesterday, so I know she wasn't gone then.

This morning I went to let them out, & she was nowhere in sight. I checked everywhere in the coop.

I think somebody stole my hen. There's no feathers suggesting a predator got into the coop, & snagged her up.

Okay, she just magically showed up trying to get into the coop.

I just don't understand how she managed to escape the coop. I've blocked off areas so no escapes can happen.
She wasn't even in the backyard with the others when I was looking for her.

Her baby looks JungleFowl, but Black, & very leggy.
