Update on the ducklings- Growth Spurt! *with pics*

Well, the (Buff Orpington) ducklings moved out to the coop last week and they are loving it!

Here is a recap of their growth:

The day I got them:

Their first bath (about a week later):

A trip to the pond (another week later):

Here is one from 2-3 weeks ago (I can't remember

) Starting to enter that akward teenage phase!

And finally last week, moving out into the coop:

They are still seperate from the chickens, but I'm happy with the way they are interacting through the fence. I think they'll get along just fine.

I need to get some more recent pics though because they are even bigger and have almost all their feathers.

what cute duckies! one word of warning...if you put them in the coop with the chickens make sure the chickens water is where they can't get to it because they love love love to make a mess of any and every water dish! keep the pics coming!

Oh, I know all about the water messes

. Their waterer in the coop is sitting in a big plastic boot tray. I have to dump it out and hose it off every day!

I have a drain set into the floor on the chickens side of the coop and I'm going to put the waterer on a screen over it. If that doesn't work, I'll put it up on the roosts- they're wide shelves. It'll work out. Thanks for the thought though, it would be a big deal if I wasn't prepared.
