I raised a female poult inside my house and she turned very aggressive towards the males, so I feared she won't be able to have offspring herself. In the end she had lots of offspring herself. 😊
Based on these pictures, she's definitely an Auburn. If her mother was a white, then she's definitely split for white. Her father must have been a brown-carrier.
This also explains why the siblings looked like standard Bronze. The brown-allele is an sex-linked recessive allele.
The female...
The male is heterozygous for Black-Winged Bronze alle.
That's why one poult is much lighter in color. This poult is homozygous for the Black-Winged Bronze allele.
The other one is a Red Bronze.
One female is a Cornish Palm, the other one a Sweetgrass.
The male is what we call a Chestnut red.
Big Update:
The Color Calculator now has a 'Beginner' and 'Expert' mode.
The 'Beginner' mode is for all people not familiar with turkey genetics and just focus on colors.
This mode sums up all phenotypes and shows just 1 row per phenotype (including the cumulated percentage).
The 'Expert' mode...
It's a Sweetgrass, but not a typical one. It obviously has wild blood in it. They tend to be very reddish, but not in the same way as a Fall Fire would be.
Definitely not a Rusty Slate. Rusty Slates do have a slate color plus Rusty tones.
