Good luck on your hatch! Do you let your silkie raise them and if so does it seem to make them less skittish. My roo is very gentle but bolts for the door that I have to shut behind me as soon as I go into there coop. He starts his crowing at 6 on the dot each morning lol... and the other roos...
I just obtained a trio of these. They are truly beautiful and pictures do not do there beauty justice. Anyone else on here still working with them? I have a golden cuckoo maran roo that is big, but my augsburger roo is almost twice his height!.
I completely agree. I've sold, bought, and swapped for years and it's truly luck of the draw most of the time. I've had 100% and 0% from shipped eggs...those 100% are too far and few between though...lol
Thanks very much for the offer it is very kind and I really appreciate it! I would love to try again, just afraid the P.O. will be hard on them again and we'll just end up in the same place.
So, an unfortunately disappointing candling update on the turkey eggs that I claimed. I came home today to a smell coming from the incubator. So I had one rotten, and 5 clears. I do have one lil lone polt still developing and kicking around. I'm guessing the eggs got thrown around quite a bit...
Thanks for all the answers. It fluffed out and the spots are on the rest of it's fluff too and even a spot on one of the legs. The only other breed that the breeder has is Dark Cornish. All the other chicks hatched out yellow with bluish legs...it's legs/beak are already bluish as well....maybe...
I just hatched my first Bresse chicks from eggs ordered online. I noticed that one of the little yellow chicks has a couple of black "paint" like spots on it's head. I haven't been able to find this info anywhere so is this normal for the breed? Thanks!
Got my turkey eggs yesterday from Jessshan8. Great packing ,no cracks, but air cells are a little wonky, but I'm sure it's cause he usps got them here so fast. Thanks Jessshan8!
