    Polish chick chirping constantly

I put a towel in the brooder and they investigated it but didn't snuggle it. This morning when I got up it was quiet. I checked on them and heard little happy chirps. Finally lol. I guess it was just missing everyone. I've never had a chick chirp that much for so long before. I'm not sure if...

    Polish chick chirping constantly

The brooder is 90 on on side and cooler on the other. Vent is clean, no pasty butt. I think the crop is emptying, but it's hard to tell. I'll try the cloth/stuffed animal thing. I'm hoping that it is that it's missing the others and will adjust.

    Polish chick chirping constantly

Two days ago I bought two polish chicks. One chick has hardly stopped distress chirping since. The temperature is around 90°F. I put their food in the blender in case the crumbles were too big and saw it eat and have a full crop. I saw it take a drink too. It also scratches and pecks around but...

    Frizzle?

She (hopefully) is about 3 weeks old. I think she is a Red Pyle Old English Bantam. Does it look like she might have the frizzle gene?

Sick Duck, was fine 3 days ago... HELP!

Has it been warm in WV? It sounds like it could be Botulism. I hope he starts feeling better.

    Lost 2 Porcelain Bantam chicks

On April 14th I bought three bantam chicks, 2 OEG and 1 Porcelain D'uccle. A few days later, the OEG chicks grew their wing feathers, but the D'uccle didn't. April 18th, it wasn't eating or drinking as much as the others and then it passed away during the night. A few weeks later on April...

100% New to chickens. What kind do I have?

The gold and black ones look like Golden Sebrights. Does the orange/black one have feathered feet? It looks like a Mille Fleur Bantam (if it has feathered feet, then it might be a D'uccle). The white one looks like a male, and Silkies are harder to tell, but the rest look like girls.

    What breeds are these bantams?

The brown stripe one look like old English game. The orange and grey with feather feet look like Mille Fleur D'Uccle, and the black and tan looks like a Golden Sebright.

How did a raccoon get your chickens? What was the weak spot?

Raccoons killed almost all of my ducks last year by first coming in through the roof of the run and then the next night tearing a hole in the side of the duck house. I had the roof of the run secured with hardware cloth, but use zip ties to hold the joining pieces together. After a few years...

    Duckling Gender 5 weeks old

Thank you! That's what I was thinking/hoping, but I wasn't too sure. I was just really hoping that I don't end up with 4 drakes and only 2 females.

    Duckling Gender 5 weeks old

They are about 5 and half weeks old. I am 99% sure that #1 Madi and #3 Kowalski are hens and that # 2 Zippy is a drake. The others have me confused. What do you think? #1 Madi #2 Zippy #3 Kowalski #4 Dublin #5 Double Trouble #6 Dipper

Need advice on a rooster with no legs

Hi Kerri! Bae is doing great! He is a full time house chicken. He lives in cage in a spare bedroom and has a window he can look out and see the other chickens, and of course he can hear my other roos. He loves all the extra treats he gets (but not too many as I don't want him to get fat). He...
