  1. CascadiaRiver

    Guess what breed!

It's impossible to know without knowing the possible adults from the parent stock
  2. CascadiaRiver

    Pop quiz! Guess the gender

Wing feathering isn't always accurate, and looking at feathers alone at this age isn't usually accurate either. The hackle and saddle feathers will come later, the large red comb and wattles indicate it's a cockerel, sorry.
  3. CascadiaRiver

    Another unexpected breed

You got him from TSC from a bin labeled Wyandotte and another breed but you're not sure what the other was, correct? I don't think lavender Wyandottes are very common but I'm unsure what hatchery the TSC near you would be supplied from!
  4. CascadiaRiver

    Breed of my Rooster

Then it's pretty much just a silkie mix! If you know he's part silkie, the other part could be a lot of different things!
  5. CascadiaRiver

    Sexing silkies

At the very least the black one appears to be a cockerel, more pictures would be helpful!
  9. CascadiaRiver

    Another unexpected breed

Yes looks to be a cockerel!
  10. CascadiaRiver

    TSC mystery lot

Should be easier to ID when they're a little older. Are those the only possible breeds you ordered? Looks like a bigger variety

    1. Looks like a silver laced Cochin Cockerel :( 2. I would agree likely a boy, comb is big BUT it's not red yet so maybe if you cross your fingers extra hard! 3. Comb is a little big, keep an eye on this one, may end up being a cockerel 4. Silkies take a lot longer to sex, so can't say...
  13. CascadiaRiver

    Cockerel :(

  18. CascadiaRiver

Are my California White and Barred Rock roos?

It's less the barring on that chick and more the comb development at that age
  19. CascadiaRiver

    What breed is my rooster?

Mixed breed, since he came from a back yard breeder he is most definitely a mixed breed
