Did you try to give human Calcium tablets? The ‘chicken docters’ advice to give a week to soft shell layers and see if it helps. But if its because of an underlaying health issue it probably doesn’t help.

Leave the choices to your hens. Or give her a separate coop with run to brood quietly (maybe a prefab).
I have 2 bowls with chick feed and one with layer. Not because I want to poison Tintin, but the layer gets old and its a waist to throw it away.
The laying hens eat from the layer and the chick feed.

Btw: bantam is not a chicken breed. It’s a size. I believe any chicken under 1.4-1.5 kilo is a bantam by definition. There are a lot of bamtam breeds in the world to enjoy.
