Surprisingly my daughter sleeps so well 🥹 it’s my husbands snoring that keeps me up 🤣 she sleeps sooooo much better then my 1st and my husband took off 2 weeks to nurture me and our 4yr old so it really helped 💗
Hey!
I had my 2nd daughter at home on the 7th so I’ve just been taking things easy around here 😍
We had a planned home birth but we did not expect her to come so quickly into this world! I had less then an hour of active labor. My water broke at 5:30am and she was born at 8am via my husband 💗 I...
I’ve made straw boxes all over the property so she has more places 🤣
She really likes a circular wicker basket filled with straw. It makes me wonder if she’s cooping up with them at night too 🤣. At least I know there will be no mice in there.
Anyone have this issue?
There are plenty of places for this kitty to lay around at that are filled with straw, out of the elements, etc.
However I keep finding her in the laying boxes. She doesn’t bother the hens and somehow hasn’t broken a single egg she lays on top of but I don’t want my new...
@R2elk I have checked the foot again today since we are still limping. The first photo shows the middle toe looking a little swollen today it’s noticeably swollen and all black on the bottom.
The rest look mostly the same or maybe more black I just know the middle one was more black on the...
Tried to throw a captivating title to get some answers but will explain more:
Our chickens have their own coop.
Our guinea fowl have their own coop.
My husband wants to put the turkeys in a brooder in the guineafowl coop and then have that be a shared coop for the two. There are only 8 guinea...
My husband is very much an observe type of person. We don’t want any more stress than necessary either. He thinks she’s getting better I just worked vet med for so long my instinct is to treat everything to prevent further issues but that being said we definitely don’t want to cause undue...
Should I separate her from the heard and put her in a dog kennel in the coop? I don’t want to add more stress but also want her to heal and she legit lays down and the flock move on without her. I’m just worried she’s going to make a quick snack or worsen.
These our the first guineas we’ve had...
She’s the only one having issues and just the bottom of her feet. I posted a back during the snow that they were out all day and I couldn’t find them but when I did they were standing in the snow on the edge of the property. I managed to heard them back to the coop but a few landed ontop of the...
I’m not sure what’s going on with my Guinea’s feet, she seems off and I see her limping or laying down away from the rest.
I’ve never had any with feet problems before so I have no idea what I’m looking at. It looks like her skin on her feet is just peeling off. No blood or swelling. Just looks...
The one above looked kinda eggy? But that’s the only one that’s looked possibly eggy. She eats and drinks her fill for sure. I’m not use to them actually eating/drinking usually once I get a sick one they pass in a day or so completely unexplained not eating and laying down.
But she’s just...
She eats and drinks everytime she’s offered and I leave it with her and come back to them empty. I’ll move her to a larger dog cage tomorrow and hope that’s a better level of comfort.
@Eggcessive the chicken is eating scrambled eggs and drinking water.
Anything I should be doing??
She’s just hanging out sleeping when I come check on her.
Poop update: I haven’t seen it not absorbed so unsure if this is better or worse.
She’s still hanging in there eating and drinking and lots of resting. Anything I should do?
Keep giving the calcium? Do corvid? Anything I should be doing besides staring at her in this laundry basket chilling lol
