Btw, how old are the ones you're selling? How much? Thanks :)
And Scott is organizing the swap at TSC in Teays Valley for August 2 if you still have them then.
You might look up Scott Byars on Facebook. He deals with them some, I think, and if he's not needing any he might know someone who does. I'd be tempted if our coop wasn't full and we didn't have so many hawks!
I have a cochin/silkie cross that I just adore...
Lol
That's ok. I'm about ten minutes outside of Winfield, and 26 miles from Charleston, not remote in the least to me but my stepmother over the weekend said she'd be scared to live where I do. Hahaha!
And her daughter in the city was just threatened by her drunk neighbor for the kids playing...
I forget where you are @Minminme, wasn't it near Charleston? A lady in Tornado raises Barred Rocks, Delawares if I'm not mistaken, Black Copper Marans and some others. Happy Hen 10 page on Facebook.
Hi Megan and welcome! I'm so sorry that happened to you.
Do you have any Tractor Supply stores near you? They are hosting monthly swap meets and I've seen all ages at those I've been to. If you're on Facebook there are a lot of livestock buy/sell/trade pages for West Virginia. You have to...
Make that 10am-1pm August 2nd in Teays Valley. He has confirmed with management. If you'd like to set up, contact Scott Byars at 304-690-2762. There is room for 20 vendors and a few with trailers. A 4-H group will be there selling refreshments again too :) should be monthly through the season
June was the first one for that location. I saw the guy that organized it just this evening and August should work out. The first Saturday in July is the holiday weekend so I think they're skipping that one. If I hear otherwise I'll post. :)
I just picked up some Black Copper Marans from a lady in Tornado tonight. She has a page, Happy Hens 10,on Facebook. She doesn't update it a lot, as she sells most of what she has by word of mouth. She also has some white Plymouth Rocks available now and raises Barred Rocks and I think...
I would have, but I just bought 7 birds yesterday! My husband would not notice, I'm sure, but I better not. lol I wish you had Marans or Orpingtons though! Then I'd sneak them in
You most definitely need a successful realtor, familiar with the area. You could easily find yourself with crazy neighbors if you choose the wrong property. Lol Good luck in your search! WV is a nice place to live :)
