I think ducks are too messy and wet. If the grounds are too wet for too long and in large quantities, they can mold. I had that happen once when I spilled a lot of water and didn’t clean it up.

Yes that is a good point. Coffee and poop are considered “green” additions to the compost because of nitrogen. I have a huge garden and not a lot of compost so I can’t say I’ve fully reaped the rewards or suffered any consequences from my compost.

I use a cat litter scoop! It works great. I wish I had a much bigger one though. It seems to take about two days to fully dry them. Starbucks employees were pumped to save them so I have organized for them to save them on the days I work (they are located right next to my office). So far so good!
