OMG I would have had 2nd place....@tookie took my abandoned guess!!!!!:th:th
Congrats to everyone! Woo-hoo @TX Chick Noob so nice to see someone I *know* win - woo-hoo again!! (just 'cause I can:oops:)
Wow, that would have put me just about spot on when I used the UNADULTERATED #s. Dang! I always tell my students not to second guess themselves....why didn't I listen to my own advise???? 🙄 🙄
:lau:lau:lau
Darn spammers!!! I know someone who could really use a PM membership and can't...
Nope, it was based on @R2elk post that included 7:07 pm (my time)Friday 7:00 pm Sat., so most of the time was Saturday. (remember, 7 pm my time =10pm PT time) so, in reality, it would have been MUCH closer to the 97 than the 135, but at the time, that's not what the numbers said. :(
So, I'm...
I don't know the exact time, but there were over 135 posts in the 24 hour period, causing me to re-adjust my 'guess' forward approx. 2.5 days! 8pm - midnight your time is 5pm to9pm my time - prime time for me (yes, I am up WAYYY late for me tonight - and will regret it in the morning!)
Duly, noted. I apologize and will refrain in the future. :(
That is horrible about the spammers. Some people have no boundaries!
Everyone else: That obviously throw the numbers off...so you will have to make your own math work!
That was 135 new threads in 7 minutes short of 24 hours, based on your last post.
So....
834/135= 6.185185....
.185185 x24 (hours in a day) = 4 hours, ~26 minutes.
So we get ~6 days, 4 hours, 26 min.
Given you must pick a full hour, and 26 is < 30 , it is closer to 6 days, 4 hours than 6...
Well, I did - even though wasn't sure what it meant. But I say 'did' because wasn't sure of the exact time of day (T to check the new number(to make it a full five days (no more, no less), which is why I said 'near as I can discern'.
To be accurate (yes, statistician/math person talking)...
True, once you know what the variables stand for! The math is super easy - the hieroglyphic not so much, unless you are 'well versed in @Kiki ', like @R2elk ...and one would presume, like @casportpony should be.
:D
Q = Questionable result
D = 'Dunno (as in, you dunno, I dunno, She dunno, :gig)
T = Treacherous (she is going down the math road - very treacherous!)
:lau :lau :lau :lau
Well, I loved math BECAUSE it was black and white. I always hated 'grey'. No real answer - or rather - too many answers, none of which were perfect, but none really wrong either. It can be exhausting trying to figure out the 'best shade of grey' :th
okay, it depends on when today. However, the closest I can definitively state is Q = 2026
I love this!!!
Math, math, math
Numbers, numbers, numbers!
They never lie (though people may lie with them)
there is no grey (only black or white)
I'd rather die
than keep Numbers at bay
:gig :gig
It was the front of a b-day card I got last year from my sis. Basically said - as you age, you can still party hard....but it is harder to recover as you get older. :lau
Can I ask just ONE question?
Is Q a positive whole number, or is it a quotient that contains a 'remainder' (either in the form of a decimal, fraction, or simply R?)
Depending on your answer, I can give you a set of possibilities.
