    Sound plans! I'm hoping to do a 10x16 or 10x20 shead or something for incubating/hatching/brooding with grow out pens attached. Might do two actual pens attached as well. It all depends on how big the shed is. Will be adding better shelter to my open air pens so I can move away from tarps.

    Mine are from a lady in Main. She sent me 14 eggs. One arrived broken, had only six developing and two quit before lockdown. I was very lucky to get four out of that batch. It's along way from Main to where I live in Texas. 💜

    Not much no. But sometimes they have a little trouble standing on uneven ground if they get bummed by the other chickens. No issue roosting because my roots are wide.

    Yes they get along fine in the bantam pen. I'm going to set them up with their own pen. I don't want to free range them with the kinked toe they all have.

    I had to assist on my Halloween hatch. All the info here was a big help. The reason I had to assist was I was new to useing the 56x and didn't up my humidity at lockdown. The chicks had a hard time of it and some where shrink wrapped. The ones I helped needed a stability chair for about 24 to...
