Sometimes when they have an injury like this, the eye can show damage which may be permanent.

I'd continue with the care routine for a few more days, then start tapering it off and see how he does.

Hopefully he's not lost sight in the eye, but that can happen with injuries sometimes. Time will tell, the main thing is the keep infection at bay and let him heal up.

Separate him out.
Flush the eye with saline really well. You can find Terramycin eye ointment at TSC or online or you can use Original Neosporin.
Apply the ointment into the eye. Leave the eye uncovered, you risk sealing in more bacteria.
