Is this a cockerel?
Closeup pic, maybe. The beak to beak, looks no bigger than one of my barred rock pullets....fast forward to 10 weeks and size relative to chick is still the same....and comb is still larger than the other BR pullet. Both are pullets. Verdict: keep watching.- rural mouse

EVERY chicken has the spur bumps. Some hens actually can grow spurs. Even cockerels don't start growing them until after 6 months.- rural mouse
