not only the Indians, my friend lives at a lake, and the herons drop dead fish they didn’t like onto her property, she used to get all riled up ( whew, the smell) later she found out they make excellent fertilizer, and she now has a beautiful garden 🤪
I know them, they are so hard to get rid of!!! And beware the poor animal which gets them in their fur 😬 you have to cut them out, they even cling to your skin 🙄
My friend tried growing luffa last year too, if she had had any surplus, we would have gotten some from her, but…I think only 3 germinated and she only harvested 1 luffa 😂
It’s going to take a while to recover, I react badly to almost all pain medication, so the first few weeks after an operation are kind of miserable, I really envy people who recover in a tilidine “fog” and have little or no pain , me, my blood pressure crashes, I get sick to my stomach and other...
It finally rained, of course after I hung up my 2 last loads of laundry before I go into the hospital 🙄 great that we finally had some rain, not so great the stuff I wanted to take with me is WET 🤪 most of it isn’t dryer safe … but that’s Murphy 🤷🏻♀️
It rained, 2 drops, it hasn’t rained for the last 4 weeks 😬 tomorrow, we are supposed to get more rain 🙏🏻 just came in, I was on the menu, for I think at least 200 hungry mosquitoes 😩 my legs are covered with red bites, I react badly to them, and they “love” me 🙄
Forrest fire threat level raised to max (5) there have already been a few, thank God most could be put out quickly , yesterday, coming back from my 2. root canal treatment, I saw another fire, police and firefighters were there ( lots of them) the guy beside me in the took a video 😬 guess what I...
Yesterday, I started the water pump ( before, I watered the garden with watering cans) and lugged the heavy hoses around me and soaked the ground where I could ( took me 3 hrs), planted a red sage , cleaned out more nettles and did the laundry , this morning, my shoulder said ; I didn’t like...
I am surprised, usually the feathers are good insulators 🤔 my chickens harvest the flowers before they even turn into cherries 😬 but they harvest the gooseberries and red currants before I get a taste ( not a fan of red currants anyway, too sour) interesting fact, they don’t harvest white...
Neighbors clematis is in bloom, since it is attached to my fence, I feel half of it is mine, cos I also water it in summer, I sometimes wonder how he thinks it survived our dry summers 🤔
Here is my own clematis, I love it
Frost damaged walnut tree is putting out new leaves, it will cost it a lot of energy, I fear no walnuts this year 😬
My clematis in full bloom, I love the color 🥰
I planted my dahlias in pots, I hope no more frost 🙏🏻
Also put my aloe outside, they have to winter inside ..
Watered my newly...
It finally really rained during the night, but thunder and lightning came along with it , did I mention my dog is afraid of thunder?! Anyway, I stayed up with the dog half of the night, but it is ok, since I don’t need to water the garden today and hopefully tomorrow too 🙏🏻
My dog brings home a lot of ticks too 🙄 I dose her with a pill every now and then, but they are so poisonous I always feel bad when giving her one, and the ticks need to suck blood to die, so not a perfect solution either 😩 this year the ticks were TINY!!! I didn’t even see them, my daughter saw...
My palovina is in
bloom( first time ever for that tree) the frost killed off multiple leaves and buds, but a few managed to pull through 🥰
My first pears, let’s see if they really get to grow up to be pears I can eat 🙏🏻
Right now it is dry as a desert, I am watering whatever I manage, but...
