Pretty sure. Bodies were just gone. No holes a cat can fit in that was big enough. Hole was about 2 inches big. If even that. Even the cats can't get into the small hole into the brooder and carry off 5 chicks. No blood no nothing. At least I hope not. 😓

We have barn cats. So to speak. No barn but same thing. They won't let you pet em but I don't have rodent issues out here so I am assuming it's thanks to them. I do toss out the occasional scraps too. Randomly. I don't want them to lose their hunting ability, and think I will feed them daily.

I agree. I go there for pullets only (and food of course) as my local hatchery is over an hour away. Side note. Something stole all 5 chicks out the brooder last night. Camera came in and we just bought an SD card. I am beyond livid. There is a door! I'm 2 seconds from unaliving whatever it is.

I put up the door the knocked off. I will do some rigging tomorrow and maybe move Kraken (the Rambunctious) into the chick area in his brooder box. I dont think he would be safe with the 6 week old babies.

Hestia and Abonimable Snowman are dead. Found then in the brooder this morning wet and cold. My stupid goats knocked the light off. I am devastated and beyond angry.
