I feel silly asking this, if I knew the answer I must have forgotten it! Sorry.
How many hours can a broody sit on an egg before it starts to develop?
We're trying to collect eggs for hatching, and fighting off broodies at the same time.
I actually plan to give her some and let her sit, if she would just wait. The other day we found her sitting on an egg first thing in the morning, which made us think someone laid really late in the day and she had it all night. No idea if it's still good now.

not sure what ur asking, but id say if temps are hitting the 'go' zone eggs start to develop, but they can start and stop several times right in the beginning .. not sure the exact numbers but id say you got a good 24 hour window there to collect them and even if theyre started and stopped theyll be good once you get a batch together ..i think much past that 24 hours though and stopping and starting starts to get progressively more detrimental ..
