Isa's Homestead Happenings and Hangout

Ok, this is probably very not PC, but Autistic kids are the best. My little 4 year old nephew (who is Autistic) is spending the day with me, and he is so sweet, calm, and smart. And he has started talking! His daddy told me that he came up to him the other day and said "oh ****, Bambi's dead." He was talking about his Bambi blanket toy thing. I blame his swearing on him having a mechanic for a daddy. 😂

I foresee being disowned by both of my brothers for buying their kids these:

Now I cannot wait for Christmas! 🤣😷
You need to step up your game.

PSA, Friends:

Effective June 1, Costco is starting to roll out a number of changes for access nationwide (US).
  1. You must present/scan your membership card at entry, Kiosks are being installed (already done in CA)
  2. You may no longer enter from the exit side
  3. 1 member and 1 guest per card. Unsure on exceptions for children but we expect small kids will be fine.
  4. If you are a nonmember and are only going in to visit optical, pharmacy, food court or to purchase alcohol, you will be escorted (this will be the first thing rolled back I would bet)
  5. nonmembers purchasing alcohol with gift cards will no longer be allowed to also purchase additional items normally needing a membership
  6. Food court kiosks will now require membership scan to be used.
These are almost all existing rules, but Coscto is cracking down on enforcement due to a lot of abuse from a small segment of entitled people who feel throwing a fit to get their way when called out for breaking rules is the only way.

Wow. It kind of sounds like BJs. But our BJs (I cannot speak for others) does not allow purchase at all without membership. They do not care if you go in and browse, but you cannot purchase anything without at least one card member being present.
