WoW! What a great year 2024 was! I was so busy with school. my chickens and the YouTube Channel (BIG Feathers Farm Chickens) that I hardly had any time to be here at Backyard Chickens! But 2025 will be different! I have now over 200 Million views on my YT Channel and over 1250 Chicken Videos! I cant believe it! Chickens and Homesteading are so FUN!
One of the highlights of 2024, was the training of my Barn Cats into Amazing Rat Hunters! I CAN NOT Believe How good this worked! ( See the Cat Video Below How One of the Barn Cats is Catching 2 BIG RATS at once! ) They are totally fine with the chickens and the chickens with them Sometimes the cats sleep in the Chicken coops in-between the chicken! LOL
In 2025 I hope to expend my Chicken Flock on the Homestead with at least 5 more varieties of 10 each (2 roosters and 8 chickens) I am still wondering what Breeds I want, but for sure there will be Rhode Island White Chickens in. Also my Chocolate Silver Laced Orpingtons are getting old and I only have 1 rooster left (Bob The Rooster
) So I guess I need some "Fresh Blood" in that Flock.
So if my chicken will lay their eggs, I will put them in the incubator! I also am upgrading my chicken coops. They need to be painted and we will be building 3 or 4 extra coops for the new flocks. A lot to do!
I hope you guys like my chicken videos. I will roam around a little more here and see if I can gain some chicken wisdom from Y'All!
