My DIY chicken coop.

Here is my coop. I built it almost three years ago. Modified a design I found online by Ana White. I omited the hole in the floor, the clean out tray (as I'm doing the deep litter methid with hemp) and instead of the planter I made the entire coop 61 1/2 inches long. You will see what I mean when you compare my coop to the drawinf which will be in the link below. I built it myself and it is very stout! I overbuilt it, but it is very windy where I am in Montana so I wanted it to last. It took myself and 7 other big dudes to move it to it's home. I have a pretty decent size run. The automatic door is awesome. The only problem with it is if you have some precipitation and it's above freezing and then the temperature drops the door can get stuck open/closed. Not all that big a deal to get unstuck and it usually only occurs early or late in the season. I hope you enjoy, feel free to ask questions.
