I have 30 chickens in an outdoor coop and 6 chickens that live in my bedroom.
An unusual case, since the eldest is still a chick himself of just 3 months, but decided that his orphaned siblings of 3weeks at the time, needed his care.
Lloyd, is his name and his favourite perch is my bed, sometimes he even sleeps on the pillow.
I don't stop at just chickens though, I have 1 avery of Jumbo Coturnix quail, one avery that is soon to be inhabited by finches and another avery with button quail at the bottom and English budgies at the top. Not to forget my 2 diamond doves, who share their home.
Also sharing the space in my bedroom are my beloved William and Cleo, both cockatiels and Ava & Phoenix, budgies
Being the only bird crazy person in your family can be tough... especially when your family does not agree with you filling up your bedroom with birds, but I could never part with my babies.
I hope to oneday become an avian vet, where I will work with birds for a living... instead of spending money I really don't have on all that expensive bird food!
